Our Weekly Bread: Whole Wheat Bagels

Happy Sunday! This afternoon my wonderful family got together for brunch. I always enjoy spending time with my family (especially my Gram) and doing brunch was a nice change from our usual family dinner. It was a potluck brunch and I decided to make homemade bagels. I followed this recipe via The Flour Sack. I did substitute a margarine/ honey mixture for the egg wash but other than that I followed the recipe exactly (use barley mart syrup instead of honey for a strict vegan recipe). These are delicious bagels. You do have to start the process the night before but it's completely worth it. Boil and bake in the morning and breakfast is ready.
