This year, I chose to avoid Boxing Day shopping. I did, however, take advantage of some great Boxing Week sales. Part of being thrifty involves thinking ahead. Many of you would probably like nothing less than to push thoughts of Christmas 2012 to the back of your mind and you may even find it silly to think so far into the future. I took a little time over the past week to think about next Christmas because as soon as Christmas is over, all things Christmas go on sale. With this in mind I picked up ornaments, wrapping paper, cards, gift bags, and a few other items, all at 50% of. I'll store all of these things over the next year and thank myself when I've already done a bit of prep work for the holidays.
Here's what I picked up:
All of these items are from Chapters. Everything was 50% - the gift bags were all under $2.50 and the wrapping paper was $2.50.
These great gift cards were originally $10 marked down to $5.
These dish towels are from Crate & Barrel and were %50 off. Great gifts for next year.
I bought some of the smaller ornaments before Christmas as well. They're perfect for attaching to a gift bag. These beauties are from Crate & Barrel and were also %50 off. None were more than $2.50.
I hope everyone had a great New Years! The holidays have been incredibly busy for me and now I'm home sick with the flu so I haven't been able to post as much as I would have liked to recently. I'll have more posts for you over the next few days. xx Allison.
