I so love this video narrated by Alan Watts. It took me sometime to get to this conclusion but now that I have arrived I'm happier than I have ever been.
I have long struggled in deciding which path to take in my life. I have travelled, spending 3 months living in Paris. I have gone to college, first taking Design and later studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree. I could never pinpoint a major because I was interested in so much and enjoyed learning but nothing seemed to lead towards a career. So I left University and went out on my own. I spent almost 9 months in a job I despised because it paid well and because I still hadn’t learned my lesson.
Now I’m technically unemployed but it doesn’t feel that way. I’m working towards being fully self-employed. My blog is my job, which means that I post regularly and have to constantly come up with new content. I do this because I love to create and blogging lets me be creative. I’m always trying to get me name out somehow because it can be hard to stand out in a sea of blogs. I also have plans to expand my business outside of my blog through photography and selling the vintage wares you see on this blog.
I have always felt different. I have never felt like I fit in and blogging has shown me that I am not alone. There are others out there who do not strive to work a 9 to 5 job for the rest of their lives. And what is most uplifting is seeing other women out in the world succeed in their creative endeavors.
